Riptoberfest Week 2 Day 5!

Workout: Cardio Party 2 + Ab Jam

Yesterday turned into a rest day when we got up very very early to catch the Mass Ascension at the Balloon Fiesta. I was going to work out at night but was so. damn. tired. Then I got crappy sleep all night and excuses, excuses, excuses... late night workout again. I've got to get up early tomorrow and get my rhythm back! I felt so good to have my workout over and done with for the day!

NSV last night- I tried on some size 8 shorts that I wanted to wear on my vacation and they fit- not tight or anything! Hooray!

Rip You Up Week 4: Workout 1!

Workout: Cardio Party 2 + Yoga

Because I only did 20 minutes of yoga last night I threw in another 20 tonight, since 40 minutes of cardio tonight just felt so short (how crazy is that?).

A bit of an NSV tonight- I am on my 6th 3 month Weight Watchers Food Journal (although, these have all not been used consecutively).

Rip You Up Rotation Week 2: Day 5!

Workout: Cardio Party 2 + Ab Jam

I am re-ordering my workouts so the resistance training ones alternate better with the cardio-centirc ones.

I was tempted to do yoga tonight because my quads are really sore, but I made cupcakes (stupid, stupid, stupid!) and needed the extra calorie burn.

"Persistence is much more important than perfection in the weight loss battle." - My Weight Watchers food journal said that.

Rip You Up Rotation Week 1: Day Three!

Workout: Punch, Kick and Jam (w/ last 15 minutes of CP2)

Have I mentioned how much I love this workout? Just love it- each song is motivating (right up to the endless capoeira finesse when I change it to CP2).

I did this workout in the middle of the day- out in the garage, I mean, gym with NO AIR CONDITIONING. How hard core am I? At least as hard core as all those band kids marching around out there right now.

Eyes On The Prize...

Workout: Cardio Party 2

So I totally rocked CP2 tonight, I even added plio to the finale, I felt so strong. I was sure I had torn it up. My heart rate monitor read 300. What? Something is definitely wrong- when I was using my HRM all the time (about 3 years ago) that workout burned about 450. I am going to have to dig out the manual and see what is up.

We ate at Five Guys for a treat yesterday- that was pretty darn good. Probably the second best burger I've ever had (which are):

1. Hamburger Habit/Cal Taco (a central California favorite)
2. Five Guys
3. In and Out
4. Home Grilled! (as in made at home)
5. Wendy's

We met the In-Laws for dinner at an Italian buffet. I was actually pretty smart about it- I filled up on salad and tomato-vegetable soup before I sampled a pasta, meatballs and a very modest slice of thin-crust pizza.

I am trying hard to stay motivated- I know my clothes are fitting differently and I love the conditioning I've aquired. I read a quote recently that said, "You don't have to be motivated, you just have to do it". Indeed.

Punch, Kick & Damn!

Workout: Punch,Kick & Jam

What a great workout I had tonight! Punch, Kick & Jam is so much fun- and the music is amazing! I did stop it after the finale and put in Cardio Party 2 from the recovery to the cool down for a 50 minute workout. I just felt so strong and powerful- even though I don't think I waited long enough after eating dinner to start!

Two-fer!

Workout: Cardio Party 2/ Crunch Fat Burning Yoga

Today was a 'put up or shut up' day- I knew I need to get 2 workouts in so I could meet my goals. I opted for Cardio and Yoga.

Cardio Party 2 is a great workout- not as hard as Cardio Party 1, but a great workout.

Workout: Cardio Party 2

I am psyching myself up to go workout tonight. I need to do Cardio AND yoga tonight so I'd better get moving. I am not as sore today as I thought I would be- and I really pushed myself last night. This makes me think that I have really delayed onset soreness coming and I'll be lucky to walk tomorrow.

I feel like I look leaner today. Perhaps I do- or don't. But either way, I feel healthier and that is what is important.
