Fourteen Weeks Down!

Blogdate: 10/24

Workout: 5 Mile Run

Well, I didn't get my workout in yesterday as planned, but I went for a run this morning at our hotel in Orlando. I was pleasantly surprised at how my Turbo conditioning translated into running- I felt really strong!

I had my final weigh in yesterday- 153! Wow! 18 lbs! I feel amazing about all that I have been able to accomplish. I love how strong I feel and how I look when I catch a look at myself in a window.

I'm not going to stop. I am going to workout every day on this cruise. I'll let you know how things went when I get back.

Have a great week!

Rip You Up Week 3: Workout 1!

Blogdate: 9/13

Workout: Cardio Party 1

I know the schedule says something else, but I was so tired and full of food from my father-in-law's birthday the thought of working out for an hour was daunting. So I re-arranged things a little. But Cardio Party 1 felt great!

Oh yeah, the birthday party. My MIL makes this great pasta salad- of which I had 2 servings. And then I had cake. I didn't go over my weekly points allowance, but let's say there really is not much left. The rest of this week is going to run LEAN!

Hey! My weigh in was this morning! Drumroll..................... 160! Hooray! I am at a healthy BMI! 11 lbs in 8 weeks is pretty darn good!

4 Week Weigh In!

With anticipation and trepidation I stepped on the scale this morning and weighed in at....

166!

5 pounds down! That's a little over a pound a week, not bad! 5 Pounds less than I weighed 4 weeks ago, sucka!

If I can keep this pace up I will be well below my WW Goal weight of 160 by cruise time! Perhaps if I eat better I can even be down around 150! 16 pounds in 10 weeks... that's kinda ambitious. You don't always know how your body is going to respond. I have lots of control over my direct actions but not so much on indirect things like how much weight I lose.

I am going to go for a week without caffeine- no diet soda (no soda, PERIOD next week)! I am enjoying my last diet coke as I write this and then that's it for a week! Nada! Nil! Zilch! I have just been hitting that stuff a little too hard lately and I need to encourage myself to drink actual water. I am going to refer to it as my Diet Soda Diet.

Ghetto Fitness

Blogdate: 7/28

Workout: Rest Day

I was so stinking tired tonight after work that I was in bed by 9. We're calling this a rest day. It probably didn't help my energy that I had 5 points worth of chocolate at work to celebrate the end of 'no sweets' week. I ended up over 16 points today. Still within my weekly points allowance, but more than I wanted to spend.

I have decided only to weigh myself monthly instead of weekly. I figure seeing a (relatively) big drop in weight will be more motivating than seeing it creep down. But I went swimming today and I was hoping my swimshorts (which have been tight tight tight lately) would be noticeably looser- and they were- slightly. Well, that is better than tighter.

Planet Fitness is going in about a mile and a half from my house. My current gym is about 5 miles away (and really out of my way). My current gym also closes at 10, so on nights I go I really have to hustle in order to get there, get changed and have a good hour+ to exercise. And all this will be moot in Nov-Dec when my store is open later! So even though I like my gym (it is clean and the people are friendly) and I am getting a ghetto-vibe from Planet Fitness I decided to switch. It opens this Friday.

At least they have finally straighten the light post in the parking lot that was at a 45 degree angle after someone ran into it.

Fourteen Weeks To Fit

Blogdate: Sunday, 7/18

In 14 weeks I have a cruise for work (life's rough) and my little brother's wedding. I'm about 11 pounds over my healthy weight and about 20 over 'fighting weight'. The goal is to get down to 'fighting weight' in 14 weeks. At a rate of 1-2 pounds a week that is achievable!

I weighed in at 171 tonight. I knew I'd be up but I was hoping I'd still be in the 160's.

What usually happens to me is I make resolutions and start my workout regimens and get injured and sidelined about 2 weeks in. I am not going to let that happen this time. I am going to make sure I am doing strength and yoga to increase muscle strength and flexibility and prevent injury!

My plan:
5x workouts a week (Turbo Jam!!!)
2x active recovery (Yoga, walking)
Journal Everything (Weight Watchers)

My incentive:
Each successful 4 week period= 20$ Lululemon Gift Card (it would be Beachbody if they sold gift cards!).

My reward: Feeling healthy and looking great on the cruise and at the wedding. Fitting into all the cute little clothes in my closet. Being ready for whatever life has ahead!
